I’m Kristin. A writer and serial entrepreneur ready to help you bring your creative projects to life.
Here at Work In Progress, I’m dedicated to helping idea-driven women be more productive, prolific, and balanced.
I believe it’s possible for women to have a sustainable, flexible method for making an impact with their creative projects—without sacrificing their family life or self care.
Whether you want to turn your hobby into a side hustle, grow your existing business into something more, or just do more of the creative work you love, I can help. Here’s how:
I can teach you The Prioritization Process, my method for turning an idea into a finished project. Start here if you have too many ideas, jump from project to project, or have a hard time finishing what you start. You’ll learn my repeatable process for getting any kind of project DONE. (And it’s free!)
You can join my email list, where I take you behind the scenes of what I’m up to in my businesses and give you the work-in-progress scoop on what’s working, what’s not, and how things are really going for me. In doing this I hope to give you a bigger idea of what’s possible and how you can apply what I’m learning to YOUR projects.
Lastly, if you have an existing business that’s doing well but you know there’s potential for more, I offer a limited amount of marketing and consulting for business owners. My specialty is in Pinterest marketing strategy (including Pinterest ads) and general content marketing. Contact me for more info about working together.
Want to know more about me?
Ever since college when I couldn’t decide on a major, I’ve always had too many ideas and interests to narrow down to just one focus.
I knew the typical 9-5 job would never be a good fit for me (I’m a homebody, an introvert, and I don’t like others being in charge of my schedule…) so I committed to making my own job.
I started a photography business at the age of 20, fell in love with entrepreneurship, and haven’t looked back since.
These days I run a podcast and website called The Progress Project along with my best friend, Laura Farr. We sell digital products that help creative women find their purpose and make progress on what matters most to them.
I also virtually streamline and manage a couple companies and can’t stop coming up with new business ideas to add to the mix.
The most important thing this recovering perfectionist has learned in business has been this: it’s always a work in progress!
The only thing I’m more passionate about than creative work is my family. I'm a mom of delightful 4 year-old twins, so I fit my work into 10-20 very efficient hours per week.
My husband, Kenny and I fell in love on our third date and the next day I asked him if he was going to marry me (he said yes).
I'm an Enneagram 1 and an INFJ. My superpowers are self-awareness, streamlining businesses, and big-picture, future-focused thinking.
I love the British royal family, baking, reading, and learning about business. I have a slight obsession with houseplants.
I’d love to write a book someday, buy an old house, and spend summers in Europe with my family.
The best way to stay connected is to join my email list. I post now and then on Instagram @kristinbrown.
